Beeswax is produced by bees and used to build hives. It is composed of a 70-75% mixture of cerotic and melissic acids, about 70 esters of C16-C36 acids and a mixture of C24-C36 alcohols. The remaining 5-15.5% are carbohydrates and the remaining ingredients are minerals, dyes, flavors and vitamin A.
